Introduction


We take your privacy very seriously. Please read this privacy policy (this “Policy”) carefully as it contains important information on who we are and our information practices, meaning how and why we collect, use, disclose, share, store, and retain your personal information.

a) Website Owner. SJF Material Handling, Inc. (“SJF”) is the owner of this website (“SJF.com”). This Policy discloses SJF's information practices for SJF.com, including what type of personal identifiable information is required in order to make a purchase, how the information is used, and with whom the information is shared. SJF has created this Policy in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy.

b) Website Visits. In general, you can visit SJF.com without revealing any personal information. SJF does not keep track of the domains from which people visit SFJ.com.

c) Website Transactions. At times, SJF will need personal information regarding a customer. For example, to process an order, SFJ may need to know a customer's name, mailing address, e-mail address and credit card details.

Personal Information That May Be Collected


a) Identifying Information. In order to make a purchase, SJF will request that a customer provide certain personal identifying information, which may include: name, postal address, e-mail address, username and password, telephone number, method of payment, and credit card number. SJF may request additional information necessary to establish and maintain a customer's account.

b) Service Quality Monitoring. Some website transactions may require a customer to telephone SJF, or SJF call the customer. SJF will not contact you by telephone without your prior consent, except to confirm an order placed online and/or to inform a customer of the status of such order. Customer should be aware that it is SJF's practice to monitor, and in some cases record such calls for staff training or quality assurance purposes.

c) Lost or Stolen Information. If a customer's credit card and/or password is lost or stolen, the customer should promptly notify SJF in order to enable SJF to cancel the lost or stolen information and to update its records with a changed credit card or password. If unauthorized charges are made to your credit card as a result of shopping at SJF.com, SJF will cover any unauthorized charged up to $50.00 if your bank holds you liable for such a charge.

d) Links to Other Websites. SJF.com may contain links to other websites. SJF is not responsible for the privacy practices or other content of other websites.

Uses Made of Personal Information


a) Limited Uses Identified. SJF will not use your personal identifiable information for any purpose other than that for which it is submitted, without your prior consent. SJF uses personal identifiable information to process orders, reply to inquiries, handle complaints, provide operational notices and in program record-keeping.

b) Marketing Uses. Unless a customer marks an "x" on the opt-out option box provided, SJF reserves the right to provide customer with information about SJF.com, SJF products and services, and related information in which customer has indicated an interest.

c) Stored Information Uses.SJF stores and retains the information provided by customers. Stored information is used by SJF to support customer interaction with SJF.com, to deliver customer purchases, to respond to customer requests, and to contact customers about other SJF products. We archive all emails submitted to us. We use your return email address to reference you in our customer database, as well as to be able to contact you in the future. Security at SJF.com


We use encryption technology to protect your personal information. The only time you are required to sign on to our site is when you are making a purchase or reviewing your online account. On the checkout page, you will be asked to access your existing account or create a new one. Existing account holders are prompted for their ID and password. If you don't have your password, there is a link to have your password emailed to you. Follow the instructions given to retrieve your password. In addition to using encryption technology, we use the security features of your web browser to encrypt your credit card information when you submit it to us.

As an extra security measure, SJF.com reveals only the last four digits of your credit card number when confirming an order, but transmits the entire credit card number to the appropriate credit card company during order processing.

Only employees who require personal information to best serve SJF customers have access to your personal data. To ensure only necessary access, this data is password protected. All of our employees with access to this data are trained on our security policy and practices when they are hired. Periodically, these employees are given a refresher course to ensure security of this data. Our site is reviewed every two years for security.

Privacy at SJF.com


SJF.com, like almost all e-commerce sites today, uses "cookies" to create a more effective and convenient site experience. A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user for a particular website. It is an alphanumeric identifier that enables our server to recognize your browser. We do not store any sensitive information in the cookie. The majority of the cookie's content is used to track the customer's movement through the website. In the future, we may use cookies to store your name. This would be used to personally greet you when you return to the website as well as to take advantage of new services and technologies incorporated into future versions of this website. Do we sell your information?


We realize that this is a sensitive area for many of our customers, and we would like to stress that WE DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY INFORMATION unless it falls under one of the categories below.

a) Agents: We employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include fulfilling and shipping orders. They have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes.

b) Business Transfers: As we continue to develop our business, SJF may sell, buy, merge or otherwise reorganize its business. In such transactions, customer information usually is one of the transferred business assets and may involve the disclosure of identifying information. What Information Can I Access?


SJF gives you access to your information for the limited purpose of viewing and, in certain cases, updating that information. This information includes any information you provided to us upon site registration.

As discussed above, you can always choose not to provide information, even though it might be needed to make a purchase or to take advantage of some of our website features. California Consumers: Your Rights under the CCPA/CPRA

d) Right to Deletion

Subject to certain exceptions set out below, on receipt of a verifiable request from you, we will:

(i) Delete your personal information from our records;

(ii) Delete your personal information from our records; and

(iii) Direct third parties to whom the business has sold or shared your personal information to delete your personal information unless this proves impossible or involves disproportionate effort.

(vii) Enable solely internal uses that are reasonably aligned with your expectations based on your relationship with us;

(viii) Comply with an existing legal obligation; or

(ix) Otherwise use your personal information, internally, in a lawful manner that is compatible with the context in which you provided the information.

e) Right of Correction

If we maintain inaccurate personal information about you, you have the right to request us to correct that inaccurate personal information. Upon receipt of a verifiable request from you, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to correct the inaccurate personal information.

f) Protection Against Retaliation

You have the right to not be retaliated against by us because you exercised any of your rights under the CCPA/CPRA. This means we cannot, among other things:

(ii) Charge different prices or rates for goods or services, including through the use of discounts or other benefits or imposing penalties;

(iii) Provide a different level or quality of goods or services to you; or

(iv) Suggest that you will receive a different price or rate for goods or services or a different level or quality of goods or services.
