Lanes of pallet flow rails usually have built-in "brakes" that work to slow the pallets on pallet rollers to a smooth gentle pace as they glide down the lane. One of the biggest strengths of pallet flow rails over pushback is that flow rails will allow a longer lane. For example, while pushback may be able to store pallets five deep, a pallet flow system will allow as many as 10-15 pallets deep.

This is a very popular style of pallet flow storage system conveyor. This gravity flow rack system acts like mini gravity flow roller conveyors. These flow pallet rails are spaced apart in a parallel configuration so that a pallet loaded on it can roll along smoothly.
