Entry-Level CAD Designer/Project Coordinator - Storage Rack Systems
We are looking for a motivated entry-level CAD Designer/Project Coordinator to join our team in Winsted, MN. In this role, you will support the design and coordination of warehouse storage rack systems. This position is ideal for someone who has strong CAD drafting skills, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to gain hands-on project management experience in material handling and warehouse design. The role requires up to 50% travel, including local same-day site visits and some overnight travel for project support.
Work Location: In person
Pay: $24.54 - $29.55 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Create 2D and 3D CAD drawings for pallet rack storage systems and warehouse layouts.
- Assist in developing design concepts and project proposals.
- Generate bills of material and assist with project cost estimates.
- Support project scheduling, permitting, and coordination with contractors.
- Conduct site visits for measurements, project coordination, and installation support.
- Work with internal teams to ensure projects are delivered accurately and on time.
- Provide documentation and updates throughout the design and installation process.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (1 year preferred). Knowledge of 3D modeling software is a plus.
- Basic understanding of warehouse storage rack systems (pallet racks, shelving, mezzanines).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with project teams.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%, with 30% same-day local and 20% overnight.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Preferred (but not required):
- Internship, co-op, or coursework related to warehouse design or material handling.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project).
- Knowledge of project coordination or construction documentation.
Education:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Design, Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Yard Labor/Material Handler
We're seeking an outside yard material handler to work at our facilities in Winsted, MN. Responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks, picking and packing inventory to ship and receiving. Forklift driving experience is a plus but not required. Ideal candidate will have 2+ years of working in a warehouse experience, solid computer knowledge, forklift experience and willingness to work outdoors.
- Full-Time Permanent - Starting pay up to $19-$24 per hour
- Part-Time Summer - Starting pay up to $19-$20 per hour (flexible hours)

Fabricator/Welder
SJF, a leader in the Material Handling Equipment Industry, is seeking two permanent, full-time Fabricators/Welders to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who has a basic understanding of welding fundamentals, strong mechanical aptitude, analytical skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Pay & Schedule:
- Starting pay: $25-$27 per hour

Inside Material Handling Sales Associate
Discover Unlimited Earning Potential as an Inside Material Handling Sales Associate
SJF Material Handling Inc. is looking to hire full time experienced sales professionals to join the company's existing inside sales team.
This is an inside sales position, working out of SJF's headquarters in Winsted, MN. Applicants must be willing to work Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm in our office. Compensation is salary plus commission bonus, offering unlimited earning income potential for highly motivated sales professionals.

Job Description:
- Service new and existing accounts, quote equipment, document and process orders for fulfillment
- Service both new and existing accounts by providing product and pricing support
- Provide same-day follow-up on all company provided leads and client requests
- Provide pricing and product information to new and existing customers who call by phone
- Provide all written documentation needed for order pricing, picking and processing to the fulfillment department for processing daily
- Provide freight quotes on quotes/pricing including all follow up and support with freight issues including any and all freight claim services
- Provide freight status, delivery times and pricing support on equipment
- Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports and making recommendations to resolve issues should they arise
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of previous sales experience
- HS diploma or GED
- Candidate must have good written and oral communication skills
- Basic computer skills - Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (such as Excel and Outlook) and Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Computer skills requirements include working with Excel spreadsheets, contact management and quoting software, daily data entry and email communications with clients and vendors

Other Beneficial and Useful Skills:
- Experience with EPICOR software
- A basic understanding of shipping and accounting practices
- Project management experience

- Ability to work in a fast pace environment
- Must be comfortable cold calling prospects and overcoming objections
